PSECU_Default is Hiring a Compliance Analyst Near Harrisburg, PA

PSECU, a high-tech progressive financial institution with more than $8 billion in assets, is seeking a Compliance Analyst to conduct compliance monitoring to ensure the credit union’s overall compliance with applicable rules, regulations and statutory requirements. This is accomplished through an effective Compliance Management System which is designed to coordinate and monitor PSECU’s adherence with applicable laws and regulations and performance of the primary duties and responsibilities listed below. The Compliance Analyst performance is based on the primary duties and responsibilities listed below. When recommending action to ensure compliance, the Compliance Analyst, will be conscious of streamlining efforts, cost effectiveness, safety and soundness, and proper maintenance of the internal control structure. Provide assistance to management and the Board of Directors by conducting compliance assessments, analysis, and risk assessments. Provide recommendations, advice, and clarifications of compliance issues. The Compliance Analyst may anticipate assignments that range from assisting on compliance assessments to coordinating and implementing complex regulations. Regularly operates under deadlines. Compliance Analysts are required to maintain an impartial, unbiased attitude and avoid conflicts of interest.

Employee Type: Full-time, Exempt

Schedule: Monday - Friday; 9am-5pm. This is a hybrid schedule working remotely with minimum onsite expectation of 20%, or as needed.

Minimum Starting Payrate: (Commensurate with experience)

Candidate must be bondable and credit worthy.

DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES - Essential for this position:

  • General knowledge of applicable laws, rules, and regulations affecting financial institutions.
  • Proficient investigative and interpretative skills essential to performing duties.
  • Establish and cultivate a strong working relationship with the Business Units in order to advance the culture and effectiveness of a synchronized approach to compliance management in respect to current, new or emerging laws and regulations as well as internal compliance policy and procedures.
  • Responsible for monitoring and analyzing developing trends and changes in regulatory compliance laws, rules and regulations. Advise the Supervisor and consult with Credit Union personnel on the operational impact of such trends and changes.
  • Research and analyze new, or changes to credit union policies and procedures as they affect PSECU’s compliance with applicable regulatory and consumer/public interest laws, rules and regulations, and communicate this information to the Supervisor and applicable Credit Union personnel.
  • Evaluate the adequacy of PSECU forms, contracts, agreements, and disclosures, including reviews of advertising and marketing materials, to ensure compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations.
  • Create, plan, and execute compliance assessments in accordance with established standards and practices. Create self-assessments of regulatory requirements and provide reports identifying compliance technical exceptions for reporting to Senior Management and the Board.
  • Conduct research and analysis of individual regulatory matters to identify deviations from requirements and communicate regulatory compliance deficiencies or potential problems.

MINIMUM / PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:

Minimum Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field.
  • And a minimum of one year of experience in compliance, risk, or related field,
  • Or any equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • Certification preferred, but not required, in field of expertise, i.e., CRCM; NCCO; CUCE, etc.
